BIRDWATCHING - FLOATING
Praticed on Mambucaba River, on calm water, this special activity can used for Birdwachting, for kids and groups not so adventurours that want to enjoy the scenic and nature from anothe point of view. Highlight is the riverside forest with rich biodiversity of species of birds and the endemic Black-hooded Antwren black-hooted antwern (Formicivora erythronotos).
WHEN:
✔ All year round. Spring is the best time of the year to see birds. Rainy and windy day are not recommended.
WHO CAN AND MUST:
✔ Recommended for nature lovers specialy those how are interested in birdwatching
✔ No experience is requerided.
✔ For the under 18, they need to bring an authorization signed by the legal guardian. Please request form.
ROUTE AND DURATION:
✔ The tour takes about 5 hours and goes on 4km section of the river that takes about 3 hours, the rest of the time is spent at the displacement and loading the raft on the jeep.
✔ The arear is the surroundings of the Serra da Bocaina National Park in the border of Paraty and Angra.
TIME:
✔ Every day departing at 6am, with advance reservation.
✔ Birdwachting is good early in the morning 6am or late afternoon 3pm.

CAPACITY OF SERVICE:
✔ Each boat has a maxminum of 5 people + driver.
✔ Minimum 2 people, with reservation in advance, smaller groups are better for the development of the tour.

✔ All boats are accompanied and monitored by experienced driver.
✔ Floating is safe, you can bring cameras and binoculars.

WHAT TO USE:
✔ Light and confortable clothes. We recommend clothes like green and brown color for camuflage, pants and long leeves shirt, closed shoes (may be old, will get dirty!).

✔ Water, Sunscreen, insect repelent, towel, clothing and footwear to change, willingness and good mood!
